la ciudad de PANAMA!!

Location: Panama City, Panama

First off I apologize for the funky picture display. This computer is psychotic and it's not my fault. That said, Panama City, though full of disgusting men who wouldn't leave us alone, was a blast. I swear even if Julia and I were wearing Nun's garb and missing half our teeth, we would still get hollered at. Pan City was by far the worst as far as the cat calls go but we have thus far resisted the urge to lauch a full can of soda at those who dare scream "HELLLOO, ay Mami! You beautiful mami come talk to me"..... vomit in my mouth. Anywhooo the Canal was great even if it was a bit like watching grass grow. At least I can now say I watched a ship pass through. One of 14,000 this year. Holler!

Awww. Two hungry gringas enjoying the Miraflores Locks but secretly wishing some wealthy Panamanians will take them to the Canal Restaurant on the 4th floor. (A swanky place well out of their backpacker budget).

Tada!!! A strip of water. Aka the Panama Canal. Although a bit reminiscent of watching grass grow, the engineering behind a project like this is pretty incredible. I could bust out all kinds of statistics but I'll spare you.

Our balcony in beautiful Casco Viejo: the old, colonial part of Panama City that still has some of the same architecture and charming cobblestone streets from when the city was first built. Keep a look out for this part of town in the next James Bond film (we saw them setting up for the filming but to my disappointment, no Daniel Craig).

More Canalcraziness...this is the ship we watched ZOOM through...hahaha joking

Casco Viejo. Hard to imagine a place this charming requires police on every corner to protect white girls like us. Apparently there is a LOT of muggings that go on. We managed to get by unscathed.

Living in hostels Lesson Numero Uno: Mark your salad dressing or Jen will swoop in and finish it (smiley face). This is happening while Julia dances to the beats from our sweet set of knock-off iPod speakers we snaked for $10 bucks in the city....while pouring a glass of Clos of course.

Panama City at low tide. Not very impressive
at the moment however at high tide it definitely
looks like a mini New York City.

A viewpoint in Casco Viejo where they are currently...
a) building a 5-star resort where I plan to come back and stay when I'm filthy rich
b) filming the next James Bond movie and....
c) have REALLY high curbs. I must have tripped 18 times and now my foot is bleeding

I actually forgot what this garden was but it was pretty.

I love the beach yoga photo. And the river in Boquete. Awww, it brings back fond memories! Wasn't it just amazing there? Have fun and be safe darlin!
